In the frequently asked questions portion of the book I share some tips on how to avoid damaging the 4809.
Install with the text right-way up (the small half-circle notch will be facing left).
(I’ll let you in on a secret: Depending on availability your EZA Board might already come with a complimentary 4809 replacement chip. I’d hate for you to have to be interrupted for several days if your chip gets damaged…)
